April 14th marked three years since the murder of Topacio Reynoso Pacheco, a young activist and artist who spoke out against the US-Canadian company Tahoe Resources whose Escobal Mine is located only 6km from her community of Mataquescuintla. Her father was also seriously injured in the attack. No one has yet been arrested in connection to these attacks.
Sign this petition calling on the Guatemalan Public Prosecutor’s office to expedite a full and impartial investigation into these attacks, and to provide the resources necessary to bring their attackers to justice.
