Check out these pictures from solidarity actions which took place in Antigonish and Halifax to mark the tragic 1 year anniversary of the Hogar Seguro fire, which claimed the lives of 41 girls and young women in Guatemala and left 15 others severely injured last International Women’s Day (March 8th, 2017). Members echoed calls for justice for the 56 victims and survivors.
BTS Antigonish
BTSers in Antigonish from the local committee, as well as the BTS Society at StFX U made art and took part in the International Women’s Day march in their community, highlighting the Hogar Seguro case in Guatemala.

BTSers in Halifax engaged in actions such as sending a solidarity message demanding justice for the 56 girl victims and survivors of the Hogar Seguro fire in Guatemala and commemorating each life lost.
