Apply to be a BTS Intern

Applications for the Atlantic Council for International Cooperation’s (ACIC) International Youth Internship Program will open in early February — and BTS will once again be hosting interns with our partners in Guatemala!

This fully funded program offers Canadian youth an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community-based work and global solidarity. If you’re passionate about social justice and cross-cultural learning, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Interns placed with BTS partners in Guatemala engage in meaningful work related to:

  • Human rights
  • Indigenous education
  • Food sovereignty and permaculture

We’re looking for applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must be 18-30 years old
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Intermediate Spanish skills
  • Available from July to November 2026

Here’s what’s included in the program:

  • All program costs are covered
  • Monthly living stipend provided while abroad
  • Meaningful mentorship and cross-cultural learning in both Guatemala and Canada

Don’t wait — get ready to apply! Job descriptions and the application form will be posted on the ACIC’s website in early February.
