Our final day in Guatemala was a meaningful way to close out the experience. We traveled to the Xinka territory where we learned about the impacts of Canadian mining on local communities. Hearing directly about these realities made the issues feel much more personal and reinforced the importance of understanding global connections.

Afterward, we drove back and gathered for a final reflection circle at Casa San Benito, where everyone shared their thoughts and feelings about the week. It was a bittersweet moment to look back on everything we had learned and experienced together. We stopped for a delicious dinner that evening at a local restaurant before heading to the airport.
